Looking for somewhere to train for a Hyrox in Wetherby?

If you haven’t heard of Hyrox yet, you probably will soon!

It’s an increasingly popular functional fitness race involving some running (8k to be exact) and various stations in between with exercises such as wall balls, lunges, sled pulls and pushes and machines. The format remains the same all around the world so that leaderboards and cumulative world championships can be formed.

So Hyrox is essentially functional fitness with a lean towards running! And at Cyon we live and breathe functional fitness.

If you were training for a marathon we’d tell you you need to do a lot of running and not much else. But functional fitness, be that Crossfit or Hyrox requires you to be more or a ‘jack of all trades’ therefore training in a constantly varied way like we do here at Cyon will prepare you perfectly for this. Yes you need to have your wall ball tecnique nailed (we do that here at Cyon regularly) and you probably want to add in a couple of extra 5k runs to your weekly routine, but apart from that if you train functional fitness already, you’re probably already prepped for a Hyrox!
